The Scheinberg Foundation offers smart and purposeful philanthropic efforts to build opportunity, equity, and prosperity across the globe
The Scheinberg Foundation was established by businessman and philanthropist Mark Scheinberg and his family. Mark Scheinberg is an Israeli-Canadian businessman, entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist and founder of Mohari Hospitality.
The Foundation is making significant investments in the rehabilitation and rebuilding of communities and seeking innovative approaches to overcome longstanding tensions and thus strengthen the solidarity of Israeli society. Additionally, the family has a keen interest in improving mental health and trauma care and is supporting philanthropic work in this arena in Israel and worldwide.
The Foundation will support Israel’s role as a respected and active contributor in the global arena; enhancing the quality of life for all its inhabitants. We welcome partnerships as we bring together diverse organizations united by a common vision of hope and opportunity in socio-economic, environmental and cultural spheres.
In the wake of the October 7th massacre in Israel, we express our unwavering support for the Israeli people. We are committed to providing impactful financial aid, support and relief to the people and places affected by the horrific atrocities that took place. We will work side by side with the authorities and communities in the Negev, in the short to mid term to provide immediate relief and in the longer term, to rebuild and regenerate this area with the goal of creating a flourishing, safe and peaceful home for its inhabitants. The Scheinberg Foundation has committed an allocation of US $100M to these efforts.
In April 2020 the Scheinberg Relief Fund was created with an allocation of US $50M. Through a close network of trusted partners across ten countries and four continents, the Scheinberg Relief Fund identified specific areas in urgent need of support and completed its work in December 2022.
